Vivekananda Reddy, the brother of late Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and uncle of incumbent AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy, was transferred to a special court in Telangana, after hearing claims by the deceased's widow and daughter that influential people were trying to scuttle the case in his home state. On the night of March 15, 2019, he was discovered murdered at his home in Pulivendula, the constituency now represented by his nephew, and the trial was scheduled to be transferred to a special CBI court in Hyderabad, according to a bench decision in November. The petitioners' daughter and wife have a fundamental right to receive justice as defendants, and they have a legitimate desire that the trial be conducted in a fair and impartial manner without being affected by any extraneous circumstances, Article 21 of the Constitution guarantees a free and fair trial, as it is deemed a settled position of law.The court ruled that if the criminal trial isn't fair and straightforward, and if it is biased, justice and the criminal justice system will be at stake, and that there should not be a separate and fair probe into a bigger scheme of events or destruction of evidence at the scene of the incident, as the court stated earlier, and that the investigation must begin at the earliest.
