Three AMU students were abused by two RPF officers in Uttar Pradesh.

Aligarh Muslim University students were attacked by Railway Protection Force . RPF officers suspended and an investigation is underway .

AGRA: Students of Aligarh Muslim University held a sit-in protest at the Bab-e-Syed gate on the campus on Thursday after three of their fellow students from West Bengal were reportedly assaulted and injured by Railway Protection Force (RPF) troops on Thursday.At the train station, the three were off to see off their relatives.Two police officers have been suspended and an investigation is underway.According to RPF records, a constable and the students fought for hours before he agreed to help them make way to their seats in a Farakka Express sleeper car.

One of the injured students, Shafiqul Islam, who was pursuing BEd at AMU, said that RPF staff followed them to a room and beat them up after they alighted from the train.AsI Prempal Singh, and constable Kuldeep (who goes by his name), have been suspended from office, according to Rajeev Verma, a station house officer in Aligarh RPF.They have also been subjected to an FIR.A student said that RPF staff assaulted their coworkers in a room to escape the CCTV cameras.
