HYDERABAD: Telangana industries and IT minister KT Rama Rao made a strong bid to the head of Taiwan-based Hon Hai Technology Group, more commonly known as Foxconn, on Thursday to open a shop in the state.During a meeting in New Delhi with Young Liu, chairman of the $206 billion Hon Hai Group, KTR discussed Foxconns plans to expand its India footprint and encouraged them to include Telangana in it.In Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, Foxconn is currently working on developing mobile phone brands like Apple and Xiaomi.The Minister briefed Young Liu on the Telangana government's efforts in the last eight years to create a conducive environment and environment for fostering electronics manufacturing, according to a letter.
