HYDERABAD (HYDERABAD): The GHMC announced on Thursday that it would be implementing 334 traffic signals, including 212 Hyderabad Traffic Integrated Management System (HTRIMS) around the city.During the current financial year, officials say they have set a target of installing 96 Adapted Traffic Signal Control (ATSC) and 70 signals with the Pelican system.According to reports, the police department had received a letter specifying locations that require these new signalling systems.The city council initially set a target of putting 384 new signals around the city, including 234 HTRIMS and 150 ATSCs.

The HTRIMS would allow traffic police to control signals from their control room, while the ATSC would use AI for automated signals.
