The British Council of Cultures (BKC) said on Saturday that the Sunday rally, which is being held in Mumbai at Goregaon, is not being held to oppose Chief Minister Uddhav Thackerays' rally earlier in the day.Devendra Fadnavis, the state Assembly Leader, will lead the Sunday rally.According to Fadnavis' close aide, the date of the BJP rally was set well in advance.On Saturday, it was not planned to attend the CM's rally at BKC, according to a former minister, who said the rally was held to demask the CM-led coalition government in Maharashtra.

Rather, Fadnavis aims to highlight the core issues facing the 12 crore people of Maharashtra, such as a water shortage, drought in Marathawada, industrial disruption, or increasing unemployment.
