On Sunday, up to 1.82 lakh candidates will appear in the BPSCs child development project officers (CDPO) preliminary examination at 320 centres across the state.In Patna district, about 19,685 applicants are expected to appear in the examination at 32 examination centers.The exam will be held from 12 to 2 p.m.Following the recent paper leak, tight security controls have been implemented at all the examination centers, according to BPSC examination controller Amarendra Kumar, who reported this newspaper on Saturday that sealed packets of question papers and answersheets along with other examination materials have been dispatched to the examination centers spread over 21 districts.State's chief secretary Amir Shubhani and BPSC chairman R K Mahajan have also told all district officers and police officials to take all necessary precautions and make foolproof plans for detecting any unlawful means in the examination.District magistrate Chandra Shekhar Singh and senior police superintendent Manavjeet Singh Dhillon issued a press release to center superintendents and all concerned law and order officers in Patna district about the proper manner of examinations and the necessary precautions to be taken during the whole examination period.To ensure a fair exam service at the 32 examination centers in the district, 55 magistrates, including 15 zonal magistrates, would be summoned.The examination controller stated that thorough frisking of applicants would be conducted at the main entrance gate. After the commencement of the examination, a candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall in any case.Throughout the entire examination period, candidates and invigilators will not be allowed to exit the exam hall.At all the key strategic locations at the examination centers, CCTV has been installed.In the presence of a magistrate and police, the sealed packets of question papers stored in the examination center's strong room would be opened half an hour before the test, and a video of the opening of the packets would be released. Section 144 Cr PC prohibitive orders shall remain in force in and around the examination center, and no unauthorised person will be permitted to enter the examination center.According to the controller, the investigation will be conducted strictly under the Bihar Examination Conduct Act, 1981, and strict sanctions will be taken against the individual who has violated any section of this Act.
