Shimla: The counting of votes for the Himalayan Pradesh assembly elections will begin at 8 a.m. in 68 counting halls spread across 59 districts, according to Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Maneesh Garg.Mr Garg said that the counting will begin at 8 a.m., with a minimum of eight counting tables in the counting halls, with a separate table for scanning of electronically transmitted postal ballots connected to computers for counting.Around 76.44 percent of voters exercised their vote in the assembly polls on November 12; an increase of 17 percent compared to 2017.The EVMs for the tribal Lahaul Spiti were taken to Bhuntar in Kullu, where they would be counted, while the Bharmour assembly segment, which is located in another tribal district, was located in Chamba, according to the CEO.

A procedure for submitting count related messages and complaints at the CEO office will be implemented.The official said that the first randomisation procedure was initiated on December 1 and that the first training program was launched on December 2 and 3, while the second randomisation procedure was launched on December 6 and that the second training process was occurring on Wednesday.The third randomisation procedure will take place on Thursday before the counting begins, according to the CEO.
