Agartala: Tripura politician Pradyot Debbarman said he was not surprised by the news that BJPs Manik Saha will be the new Tripura Chief Minister and Biplab Deb will be asked to resign just a year before the elections. We've been hearing this speculation for the next six months that there could be a BJP revival.TIPRA won 18 out of 28 seats in tribal council polls by defeating BJP last year, led by erstwhile Tripura royal Pradyot Manikya Deb Burman, who resigned as chief of the Congress state unit in 2019 due to differences in the parties' handling of the citizenship law demonstrations.Mr Debbarman also asked whether the BJP will go to polls next year by changing the Chief Minister in the fourth year, adding that his group is prepared to take on any opposition and fight elections. He said that if BJP comes up with a concrete plan, which is a constitutional solution to a challenge to Greater Tipraland, we will talk about it.

Like in Uttarakhand and Gujarat, Mr Debbarman said the BJP has no office in Tripura. If the BJP's top brass admits that the Chief Minister's performance was poor, they are implying that the state is facing a big problem. In an interview, he said that those who want to join TIPRA will need to be committed to his party's constitutional right of Greater Tipraland. If the MLAs cross over now, they may be dismissed from their group.Hundreds of MLAs will join our party ahead of the elections.

They don't need an MLA ticket, but because they do.It must be because they are committed to our fundamental right to the protection of greater Tipraland.
