Two educators are detained by ACB investigators in HD Kote

Anti-Corruption Bureau officers lay trap to catch officials red-handed . The two were able to be arrested by ACB detectives with evidence .

Mysuru, December 19: Sleuths from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) stranded a block education officer (BEO) and an office superintendent in HD Kote taluk on Thursday.The ACB had a schoolteacher who had retired two months earlier reported that the education department was charging bribes to keep records of his retirement benefits.The two were able to be arrested by ACB detectives with evidence.According to the ACB chief of police VJ Sajeeth, the BEO and the office superintendent had requested Rs 9,000 from the retired teacher.

They were shocked to find themselves among ACB sleuths shortly after HD Kote block education officer M Chandrakanth and office superintendent Shankar were given a sum of Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,000, respectively.
