Two people have been detained for the murder of a woman.

According to SHO Chetnanand Jha, brothers-in-laws Mukesh and Chandan Kumar have absconded.Preeti married Neeraj Kumar, son of Makru Singh of Khaspur village, a year earlier.On Saturday, the Patna police arrested a man who had hired a gunman to murder Deepak Kumar Mehta, a Danapur Nagar Parishad functionary and vice-chairman, outside his house in Nasriganj, near Danapur police station.Police also found bullets and a pistol from him.

Deepak had a fight with Umesh, a Kurji resident in Patna, over land ownership, according to Danapur DSP Abhinav Dhiman.He said they had been fighting for months.Deepak was also involved in various sex incidents in Jehanabad, according to Umesh.He was spotted by police on the basis of CCTV camera footage.

At least four criminals disguised as customers entered the shop and threatened to kill the shopkeeper by holding him hostage at gunpoint.They asked him to take out the money and jewellery.However, shop owner Abhijeet Kumar and his brother sounded an alarm.The robbers escaped after a brief fight, but they eventually retrieved the shop's phone.
