UAE President's death postpones CMs events

Uttar Pradesh declared state mourning on Saturday after the death of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayad Al Nahyan . The state was declared a days of remembrance following the death of the President of the United Arab Emirates .

Lucknow, May 13: Uttar Pradesh declared state mourning on Saturday after the Center declared a days of remembrance following the death of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayad Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and ruler of Abu Dhabi, who died on May 13.The CM's ceremony in Gorakhpur, which was scheduled for 4pm on Saturday, was delayed.In consequence, the unveiling and foundation stone laying ceremony was called off.The ceremony will now take place on Sunday at 10.30am, and it will inaugurate 40 projects worth Rs 33.16 crore and lay foundation stones for 21 projects worth Rs 111.33 crore.
