Ukraine: Nuclear Plants Reconnected to Electricity Grids Following Russian Attacks

Kyiv: After Russian strikes struck the power grid yesterday, energy workers were able to unify the power system and reconnect three nuclear power plants to the power grid by this evening, according to Ukraine's energy ministry.On Thursday, city mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the city was largely without electricity.Water supplies were restored on Kyiv's left bank on Wednesday, but only after engineers worked all night, according to Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Valentyn Reznichenko.The central Dnipropetrovsk region governor said that authorities were working round the clock to restore power.According to Reznichenko, shutdowns will be continued in the region to remove as much pressure on the grid as possible.
