Union ministry notifies Delhi High Court that a purported video of a judge has been removed.

Delhi High Court ordered that URLs of video of judicial officer be removed . Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said it had followed its November 30 order .

New Delhi, India, December 9: In its response to the Delhi High Court, the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) said on Friday that it had followed its November 30 order to ensure that a reportedly professional video of a judicial officer is removed at the most possible time.It further informed the court that all URLs of the video in question had also been blocked.As identified, Google has used URLs to remove them.Twitter has also taken steps against URLs, according to the ministry.Even though Whatsapp said on Thursday that it will pull down private chats unless it has specific phone numbers, the ministry told.While tweeting the case for further hearing on February 8, 2023, Justice Yashwant Varma asked Ashish Dixit, the lawyer representing the defendant, to provide the phone numbers on which WhatsApp will take action.
