Ludhiana: A truck driver has been charged by the Moti Nagar police with selling off a consignment of bicycles and bicycle parts destined for Tamil Nadu to a person in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh.Hero Cycles of Ludhiana bought the shipment worth Rs 50 Lakh.Dharminder Sharma of Haryana was convicted of delivering cycles and cycle parts.He sold the whole thing to a man named Ashu for Rs 10 lakh on the way to Tamil Nadu.

Sanjay also called Sukhwinder Singh, a Haryana-based broker, for supplying a truck and a chauffeur for the occasion.Sukhwinder sent driver Dharminder Sharma with a truck on March 30, and he was discharged.Sharma loaded the cycles and cycle parts and left for Tamil Nadu on March 31.However, Sanjay asked Sukhwinder about it when the cycles and cycle parts were not delivered.

According to the SHO, the driver from Bihar confessed to selling off the consignment along with a Sukhwinders truck to a man named Ashu of Firozabad of UP for Rs 10 lakh.
