UP Governor will open a two-day gathering of health ministers.

The two-day health ministers conclave will commemorate Universal Health Coverage Day-2022 . The United Nations officially designated December 12th as International Universal Health Coverage Day .

New Delhi (India) – On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel will inaugurate a two-day health ministers conclave in Varanasi organized by the Union Health Ministry to commemorate Universal Health Coverage Day-2022.The conclave will be led by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, according to a press release from the Union Health Ministry.The conclave will feature state officials, including ACSprincipal secretaries (health), National Health Mission directors, Director of Health; 900 community health officers, Health and Wellness Centre in-charges, and medical officers from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand; and national experts and implementation partners supporting the implementation of Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs).Universal Health Coverage (UHC) ensures that everyone has access to basic, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative health services of sufficient quality to be effective, as well as ensuring that individuals do not face financial loss as they pay for these services.

The G20 health track also places a lot of emphasis on universal health coverage and improved health service delivery.At the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will address the implementation of PM-ABHIM and the 15th FC grants for Health; Disease Elimination-(TB, Kala Azar, Lymphatic Filariasis, Malaria, Leprosy, and TB); and the distribution of PMJAY cards.Best Performing StatesUTs will be selected this year by the Union Health Minister for the following criteria: achieving HWCs operationalization against a target, Tele consultation, ABHA ID generation, and seeding in various health portals.
