180 terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir during the year 2022 in various encounters with security forces . Three terrorist attacks took place in Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, one per year .

New Delhi, India, December 7: In Jammu and Kashmir, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai informed Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that 180 terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir during the year 2022 in various encounters with security forces.This year, three terrorist attacks took place in Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, one per year (till November 2022).According to Nityanand Rai, no security forces, state troops, or civilians were killed in these terrorist attacks in the country's hinterland.123, 31 Security forces personnel, Martyred, and 31 Civilians died before November 2022.

The number of terrorist attacks has decreased dramatically, from 417 in 2018 to 229 in 2021.According to MoS Home Nityanand Rai, 14 people belonging to minorities, including 3Kashmiri Pandits, were killed in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir from January 2022 to the 30th November 2022.Jammu and Kashmir's intelligence service, according to Home Nityanand Rai, is able to thwart any attempt at terror's hands.According to several newspapers, Kashmiri Pandit Sangharsh Samiti expressed their worries regarding their security.

MoS Home Nityanand Rai told the Upper House that a robust security and intelligence network is in place in Jammu and Kashmir to stop any attempt at the hands of the terrorists.
