New Delhi (India): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which came out second-best in the closely fought Himachal Assembly polls, has called a meeting of all MPs of the state in New Delhi on Monday, noting that the BJP's leader, Uttarakhand, has already set a target for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, as well as the state's new Assembly elections.According to a BJP source, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will attend the meeting, which is scheduled to take place at the residence of former CM Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishanks before 8 p.m. Those attending the meeting would brainstorm on topics discussed at our latest office bearers meeting, with an eye on the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Congress staged a political turnaround after a string of defeats, bagging a total of 40 seats.Though the BJP could only count 25 seats, the difference in voter numbers between the two groups was less than 1%.Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the point in his speech to party supporters on December 8th in Gujarat, where the BJP raked in its worst-ever victory, winning 156 seats, the widow of former CM Virbhadra Singh, Pratibha Singh.
