New Delhi (New Delhi): Vice-Chancellor Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit said on Tuesday that the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is the most liberating place in the country because there equality and justice are achieved through integration and innovation.In an address to Dr BR Ambedkar's death anniversary, she referred to him as the greatest moderniser of modern India.The majority of us are here because of Ambedkar's principles of egalitarianism and inclusion.Vice-Chancellor Steven Spielberg said that these ideas are being implemented by our visionary Prime Minister (Narendra Modi).
What do we learn here at JNU?Because we value inclusion above all else, we consider JNU to be India's most liberating place.According to her, we have named our central library after Babasaheb because he was India's greatest moderniser.To honor Ambedkar's contributions to society, justice, and equality for all, JNU organized Mahaparinirvan Diwas. Ambedkars dream of equality for all will only be realized when women from all faiths and backgrounds have equal rights, according to Central University of Haryana pro-Vice Chancellor Sushma Yadav.Chairperson of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes Vijay Sampla stressed that Ambedkar is to be remembered as one of the greatest figures of the 21st century.
