Asansol: On Wednesday, the special CBI court in Vikas Mishra, a suspect in the illegal coal mining case, sentenced him to judicial prison until January 5.Mishra, the brother of former Trinamool Congress leader Vinay Mishra, was granted interim bail on health grounds, but the CBI demanded it be cancelled and was arrested by the court.He was referred to the Burdwan Correctional Facility in Kolkata on Wednesday, where he had been referred to SSKM Hospital.According to Somnath Chattaraj, a Mishras attorney, the CBI wanted him to be transferred to AIIMS in Kalyani or New Delhi, but the judge refused to issue a contract for that.
In November last year, the HC had told CBI not to press Roy.
