Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) India December 8: Pratibha Virbhadra Singh, the Congress chief, said on Thursday that the party should not neglect the former CM's legacy as the party fought the Assembly elections in his name.They will make the right decision, which will be communicated to the party's highest command.She was quick to note, however, that she was not running for the office of chief minister.I am not saying that I am running for the position.We have now won this election, however, in honor of the late Virbhadra Singh.You cant neglect him and his family, she said.

We are not afraid because we won the election fair and square, she said.Confirming that all votes were counted, the Election Commission reported on Thursday night that Congress secured 40 seats in the Assembly, while the AAP failed to open its account in the state.The BJP came in a close second, garnering 42.99 per cent of the total votes counted.The remaining 10.4 per cent vote share in the hill-state was the first example of Himachal honoring its long-held tradition of noting votes back the incumbent.
