Goa planning minister Vishwajit Rane received 35 complaints within a day of setting up a separate email account for reporting crimes . Rane said swift action would be taken to safeguard Goas interests .

PANAJI: The town and country planning minister Vishwajit Rane received 35 complaints from across the state within a day of establishing a separate email account for reporting crimes.TCP department and forest department are looking at complaints, Rane tweeted.He said swift action would be taken to safeguard Goa's interests and reminded locals and allies to be vigilant and alert to environmental offences.Goa residents have displayed a great deal of faith in us since the introduction of our email address for reporting illicit activities on the first day, and we have received 35 complaints, according to the minister.

Rane made the email address (complaints.vishwajitraneoffice@gmail.com) open on Tuesday and asked the public to notify the department of any violations by providing photographic evidence.Rane, who also controls the forest department department, said that complaints will be directed to the chief town planner and the chief forest conservator.Since taking over, he has also integrated both the military flying squads.Our office has successfully sent the allegations to the relevant departments, enabling immediate action.

Rane said that his goal is to prevent large-scale land-filling and hill-cutting, removal of mangroves, and tree-cutting in the state.-Also, he said that the department has received complaints from people who were being pressured to sell their land and that those who refused to sell their land were labelled orchard or no-development zones.
