Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), December 6: Kerala Minister for Local Self Government MB Rajesh said the Adani Group's Vizhinjam port project is about to be completed and that the government cannot refuse to stop it.The Kerala government has responded to six out of seven protesters' demands.When remarking on the Vizhinjam Port demonstration, the port project is about to be completed, so we cant reject the appeal to stop it, the minister said.Those who are leading this demonstration, he said, want to destabilize the government.

These allegations are politically motivated, and their allegations continue to evolve, he said.On Sunday, fishermen protested to oppose the Adani port project, claiming it was not a natural port and that if one goes inside, they can see massive sand dunes dredged from the sea piled up.The fishermen's protest became violent, with the Vizhinjam Police detaining five demonstrators for reportedly blocking trucks in Thiruvananthapuram, which resulted in a fight.Four of the five demonstrators were later released.
