VMware and IIT Bombay Collaborate On A Platform To Advance Systems Research Practice

New Delhi, India: The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and IT company VMware joined up on Thursday to support the CSERL initiative launched by IIT Bombay to create a platform for computing systems development and education.The CSERL of IIT Bombay will be given a USD 240,000 grant from the VMware University Research Fund (VMURF) to support academic and industry advancement in basic technologies such as modern enterprise system.According to a tweet, this will include computer, internet, storage, and encryption, multi-cloud, mobile devices, edge, modern applications, and data, as well as developed technologies such as blockchain, 5G, and 6G.According to the agreement, the goal is to promote the area of computing technologies, which are underrepresented, and could use more opportunities and platforms for students and faculty, it said.

According to the press release, the broad scope of CSERL activities is to concentrate on cutting-edge modern Computing Systems research topics and schemes, develop academic programs and content, and provide platforms for learning and collaboration.The purpose of the study is to improve the quality of work in education, science, and industry.
