In a late night filing on June 22, debt-ridden telecom operator Vodafone Idea announced that the DoT had deferred payments of additional adjusted gross income (AGR) payments by a four-year deadline for additional two financial years after 2016-17, which were not covered by the Supreme court order on statutory dues.According to official estimates, the government has granted Vodafone Ideas' board of directors a moratorium of four years for all AGR related dues up to financial year 2018-19, which was not included in the Supreme Court order dated September 1, 2022, BSNL Rs 16,224 crore, and MTNL Rs 5,009.1 crore, according to a separate filing.
