VP Naidu urges farmers to redouble their efforts to make agriculture lucrative.

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu called for all efforts by agricultural scientists, regulators, entrepreneurs, and scientists to make agriculture resilient, profitable, and sustainable . He suggested increasing the Research and Development budget, which is less than one percent of our agricultural GDP, to be increased .

Hyderabad (Telangana) (India), May 15: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu called for all efforts by agricultural scientists, regulators, entrepreneurs, and scientists to make agriculture resilient, profitable, and sustainable for farmers, as well as ensuring nutritional security.He also suggested that the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) (ICAR) in Hyderabad hold its Graduation ceremony today.He also presented a few lucky students with Gold medals and Directors medals.Naidu said that no advanced country can improve agri-productivity without extension activities.He suggested increasing the Research and Development budget, which is less than one percent of our agricultural GDP, and that all agricultural universities should recognize it as their inherent responsibility to not only develop new methods and methods of sustainable production, but also to bring these innovations to the next farmer in every part of the region.

To make Indian agriculture more competitive, he suggested that lab to land farmers be broken down into simple terms, without using too much technical jargon, and exploring mobile-based extension services, among other things, urging that all ICAR departments focus on innovation, human resources, and extension services to make it more competitive.
