Mumbai (Maharashtra) India, October 26: The Mumbai based auction house, Prinseps, has announced the sale of the Wadia Movietone estate, which will include posters, lobby cards, and songbooks from the mid-1930s.The auction will take place on November 16 at 10 am, and will feature original movie posters from acclaimed films such as Miss Frontier Mail, Stunt Queen, Circus Queen, and Captain Kishore, among others.It would also feature memorabilia such as a rare stained glass piece from Loveji Castle, which was once the home of Loveji Wadia, the eminent 18th-century shipbuilder, made famous in India in 1933 by brothers JBH Wadia and Homi Wadia.JBH Wadia and Homi Wadia are great-grandsons of Lovji Nusserwanjee Wadia, who founded the Wadia Group in 1736, who received acclaim for their early stunt films and the portrayal of an Australian stunt woman, Mary Ann Evans (popularly known as Fearless Nadia), in their films.Nadia started out in a series of smaller roles before landing her first lead role in Hunterwali, one of India's first female The film went on to become one of the most successful films of its time, and it was the first Indian film to feature a scene named Hunterwali Ki Beti, spawning a new breed of stunt actors who tried to imitate her but never quite succeeded in the same way.
