Water pipes and hydrants at Prayagraj Junction are damaged by a goods train travelling with an open door.

Freight train carrying passengers crashed into poles and water hydrants . Train was loaded from Jam Nagar (Gujarat) and heading towards Shivpur .

PRAYAGRAJ: On Thursday, an open door of a freight train heading for Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction from New Delhi cracked several OHE poles and a water pipeline at Prayagraj Junction.By the time the train came to a halt, it had damaged around a dozen poles, which are being repaired by authorities by putting down main power on the track concerned.According to the chief public relation officer of North Central Railway (NCR), the freight train was loaded from Jam Nagar (Gujarat) and heading towards Shivpur.One of the side doors of a wagon of this train was open, and as it came to Prayagraj Junction, it ran into the water hydrants and the OHE poles besides the track.

The power was restored for a short time, and traffic on the route was normal, except for one train.
