WBBPE's request for a stay of the CBI investigation is rejected by the California High Court.

West Bengal Board of Primary Education refused stay prayer on CBI probe . Petitioners had not requested a CBI probe into primary teacher recruitment anomalies .

Kolkata: The division bench of justices Subrata Talukdar and Lapita Banerji refused the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) a stay prayer on the CBI probe into primary teacher recruitment anomalies on the grounds that petitions refused to request a CBI probe. The single bench commissioned an interim stay on the single-bench order on June 30.In the meantime, the bench asked the parties to file their notes of argument before June 30, according to WBBPEs senior counsel Kishore Datta, who said that the single-bench order for a CBI probe into the recruitment of primary teachers for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2014 was in violation of the fundamental principle of natural justice.Datta also alleged that the probe was initiated when the petitioners didn't even ask for it.The bench was pleased to learn that counsels for teachers who lost their jobs mistook them for litigators who were not informed and were not considered parties to the case.
