Napier, New Zealand, November 22: The third and final T20I between New Zealand and India was called off due to rain, and the match ended in a draw with India at 754 in 9 overs, compared to hosts 160.We should have preferred to have won this game, but it was cancelled. When India were tottering at 213 in 2.5 overs, needing another 140 more runs to win, Indian T20I captain Hardik Pandya walked out to bat and the right-hand batsman was unbeaten at 30 off 18 balls hitting three fours and one six as rain interrupted the match. To partially repair the situation, Pandya was also involved in a 39-run alliance with Suryakumar Yadav.

Deepak Hooda, who was batting on 9, was unbeaten by Hardik Pandya and he was unbeaten.India needed 86 more runs to win in 11 overs after these two Harshal Patel and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were supposed to come and bat, but in a game like this, the rest of the batters would have had the opportunity.I would have liked to play the 20 overs and win it that way, but these things cant be controlled, said Pandya. After leading India to a three-match T20 series against New Zealand, Hardik Pandya will return home and the Indian ODI team will be led by Shikhar Dhawan.

This is the second time India has triumphed in a T20 series as a captain, demonstrating his potential as a future king.
