New Delhi, December 2nd: The AAP called its victory in the MCD polls a victory of the people and a huge responsibility, while the BJP thanked the community for acknowledging its work and making it triumphant in over 100 wards.In what turned out to be a closer contest, the AAP ended the BJP's 15-year tenure in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) by winning 134 seats.The BJP put up a spirited fight to defeat the 126-ward civic body, which exit polls predicted would suffer a big flop.In a tweet to Delhiers, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal thanked them for choosing their son and brother to lead the civic body, he said.We need the help of the BJP, the Congress, and the prime minister, he said.
