New Delhi, December 8: National Security Adviser Ajit Doval said on Thursday that General Bipin Rawat, the country's first Chief of Defence Staff, was resolute following a difficult time with China.Doval added that when the country had a difficult situation with China, we used to plan and discuss.Gen Bipin Rawat was steadfast in his positions.We said we would not take a step back and decided we'd simply sit and wait and see Chinese retreats, Doval said.Doval also remembered his personal friendship with Rawat, who died in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadus Coonoor on December 8th.
