New Delhi, India, December 9, : According to the Système of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), Delhis air quality remained in the very poor state and was recorded at 303 at around 11 a.m. on Friday.The areas near Delhi University saw an AQI of 316.The air quality index in Noida, NCR region, reached its lowest level in 304, with a temperature of 0 to 100; from 200 to 300; and from 300 to 400; and from 400 to 500; and above; it was considered to be low.SAFAR reported an AQI of 337 earlier on Wednesday.
As part of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), a Union government body charged with taking steps to curb air pollution in the national capital, announced a temporary suspension on demolition and construction activities in Delhi-NCR earlier Sunday.The CAQM released a statement on Sunday, indicating that the air quality in Delhi and the national capital region had fallen into the low group, and that any actions taken under Stage III of the GRAP, including stations; airport and inter-state bus terminals; railway servicesstations; national security; pharmaceutical facilities; linear public projects such as highways, roads, flyovers, overbridges, power transmission, pipelines; sanitation initiatives such as sewage treatment plants, and water supply projects were also banned
