Women's air pistol national champion is Divya TS

Karnatakas Divya TS wins her first womens 10m air pistol national title at 65th National Shooting Championship . Manu Bhaker, an Olympian, captured gold in the junior womens air pistol gold with a 17-13 victory over Telanganas Esha Singh .

BHOPAL (Bhagabad)-Karnatakas Divya TS won her first women's 10m air pistol national title on Monday, defeating Uttar Pradesh's Sanskriti Bana in a close gold medal match at the 65th National Shooting Championship, which ended here on Monday.In the gold medal contest, Divya defeated Sanskriti 16-14, and Haryanas Rhythm Sangwan claimed the bronze medal.Manu Bhaker, an Olympian, captured gold in the junior womens air pistol gold with a 17-13 victory over Telanganas Esha Singh.Rhythm was also in bronze position, though she did win the Youth category with a 16-12 win over Sanskriti.

Rhythm was sixth with 575 points.With a score of 254.2, Divya led the way to the next round, while Sanskriti came in second with a score of 251.6.Manu led the top eight players in the juniors with 252.4 points, 0.5 behind second-placed Esha.Rhythm finished with 248 points.

This time around, we had more than 800 entries in shotgun, and we made the necessary changes to streamline the process after learning a lesson from the previous edition.At the previous nationals, clubbing all shotgun shooters had created a turbulent situation, and I managed to escape in Bhopal, said Bhatia.We divided the shotgun events into three groups: Group A for a pre-nationalGV Mavlankar qualified shooter, Group 2 for shooters whose nationals ratings were between 75-99 out of 125, and Group C for shooters with 100 or higher scores.
