Mumbai: India has begun work on its second aircraft carrier after the launch of the indigenously built INS Vikrant on Friday, according to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.When India became an independent nation, not even a needle was made in the region.India is the only seventh country to build an aircraft carrier, according to Defence Minister Narendra Singh, after the US, France, Germany, China, and Japan.Mr Singh said that India has already set a target of Rs 14,000 crore in defense exports by the end of 2023 and that the Navy has already started work on the indigenous aircraft carrier-2, a 40,000 tonne vessel.
