Workers at Tata Marcopolo have called off their strike.

Over 1,240 permanent employees of Tata Marcopolo Motors Ltd called off their strike on Saturday . They were protesting against the company's leadership for allegedly not updating the pay scales for the last 25 months .

On Saturday, over 1,240 permanent employees of Tata Marcopolo Motors Ltd, who had been on an indefinite strike for the past 49 days in front of the DCs office, called off their strike.They were protesting against the companys leadership for allegedly not updating the pay scales for the last 25 months and requested that the government intervene.The firm's inability to revise wages in accordance with inflation surprised the workers, who went on strike.According to the workers union, the company had included a rider stating that pay scales will be changed only if they meet the company's production target.

In the meantime, the government has issued a Rs 6,000 interim payment to the corporation.According to TUCI Central Committee President Amarsih Patel, the workers are suspending the strike for a while.
