Mental Health Counsellor and Career Guidance Specialist (JKCPJ) met with students at Dubai Grand International School, HMT, Srinagar . The program was part of JKCPJ state-wide initiative Students Connect 2022 .

Jammu and Kashmir, India, September 23: At Dubai Grand International School, HMT, Srinagar, a Mental Health Counsellor and Career Guidance Specialist (JKCPJ) met with the students and discussed their questions about mental health and career development.When asked how to cope with the sense of being left out by parents in comparison to their siblings, JKCPJ Mental Health Specialist Syed Manaal Andrabi suggested: Talking to the parents directly and helping them understand how their behavior and different treatment of the siblings are affecting their children's mental health.Aman Jaswal, a career guidance specialist and a final year Research scholar in the United Kingdom, introduced the students to the benefits of Career Guidance and how to think beyond traditional career paths He said, Its very important for students to know that they are a part of their strengths rather than weaknesses.With the right support and guidance, a child can take proactive action at a crucial time in their academic and professional journeys.

The program was part of JKCPJ's state-wide initiative Students Connect 2022, which aims to raise awareness of mental health and career counseling by providing the right psychosocial assistance.
