INDORE (INDORE): Over 4,000 youth held a Tricolour festival on Friday and sat on dharna outside the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission's offices for several hours, demanding jobs and protesting recruitment delays. As part of the Berozgar Tiranga Yatra, the demonstrators marched around 8 kilometers from Bhawarkuan to the commission office. They were seeking the publication of the MPPEB recruitment calendar and the release of the PSC-2019, 2020, and 2021 results. Not a single selection has been made in the last four years, even for advertised positions and recruitment.Protesters urged the state government to take immediate action against those responsible for such activities following the HC decision on reservation.Other demands include reservation of seats in state government positions, ending standardization in online examination by increasing centers, setting a time limit for accepting applications, and establishing fast-track tribunals for recruitment lawsuits.Around 11 a.m., 200 students launched a demonstration in Bhawarkuan with Tricolours in their hands.Hundreds of others followed them at Navlakha, Holkar Science College, and road squares and corners soon after. They also requested to meet with MPPSC officials, but the authorities said only two of the protesters could enter the building and present their protest letter.PSC candidates have submitted a memorandum for a prompt declaration of pending results, according to MPPSC deputy secretary Rekha Sahay. They are notified that the results are still being considered in light of a reservation issue before the MP high court. The commission is also running recruitment advertisements, conducting examinations, and reporting findings. In the last four years, the commission has published around 12 job advertisements, but not even one has been completed. Its the same with the Professional Examination Board, the old Vyapam.tnn.
