The International Boxing Association (IBA) Youth Mens and Womens World Boxing Championships 2022 was held in La Nucia, Spain, on November 24.Seven young Indian boxers triumphed to reach the finals, with Vanshaj (48kg), Vishwanath Suresh (52kg), and Ravina (63kg), the Haryana-based team, claiming close 3-2 and 4-3 victories over USA's Deshawn Crocklem and G Devika, a Maharashtra girl, defeated Aameedah Joy of the United States by a 4-1 margin.In the womens division, eight pugilists have secured gold, scoring the most for any country at the current edition, wherein nearly 600 boxers from 73 countries competed.India has reasserted their triumvirate at the prestigious championships, with Tamanna (50 kg), Kunjarani Devi Thongam (60 kg), Muskan (75 kg), and Lashu Yadav (70 kg) winning bronze medals.
