The Home Ministry declared the IRF-founded Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) a non-profit organisation in March this year and suspended it for five years; Naik has been accused of defamation, violence, and disharmony, and his messages are deemed objectionable because they mention well-known terrorists promoting conversion and terrorism.
